Served on our new light rye bread from Gonnella Baking Co., both sandwiches are stacked with Millie’s delicious corned beef and topped off with Swiss cheese. Where the corned beef sandwich is served cold, the Reuben is grilled to a golden brown perfection and has sauerkraut and Swiss with a side of Thousand Island dressing for dipping.

The cold corned beef sandwich is $4.99 and the Reuben is $5.45. Both are served with our new kettle chips.

“You should open for breakfast.” We have heard this simple suggestion time and time again from our customers and we’ve listened.

Millie’s will now be open at 6 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday serving breakfast until 10 a.m. To start with, the menu will be small as we get used to the new dishes and a new kitchen setup. As morning business grows so will the menu.

We are looking forward to seeing you all bright and early as we help you get your day started.

Due to a continuous decline in business, we have no choice but to take drastic measures to cut costs. We do this with the overall best interest of the business in mind.

Firstly, we will no longer be offering a pickle or a choice of sides with sandwiches. Your order will now come with a portioned side of baked potato chips. Extra chips will be at an additional cost. Additional menu changes will be made as necessary.

Secondly, starting immediately we will no longer be open for business at night during the winter (summer hours to be announced). We will now be open until 4pm Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday until 3pm.

Thirdly, due to overwhelming suggestion by you, our customer, we will be opening for breakfast in the coming weeks we are now open for breakfast. We will start with a very simple menu which will grow as business grows. Hours to be announced.

One overwhelming suggestion has been that we should try to fill the niche left by Veli’s Coffee Cup and open for breakfast. We have several obstacles to overcome but we are diligently working on opening for breakfast soon. At least on a trial basis.

We will post updates to the site and send email notifications to those who have signed up as soon as we are ready.

Millie’s was a favorite amongst Fest goers this year thanks to the cool and damp weather. Hot chocolate, coffee and cider were very poplular as parent and kids alike sought to warm up. Delicious homemade cookies, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, pumpkin pie and more were enjoyed by many as well. For those a little more daring Pumpkin flavored ice cream (vanilla and chocolate too) was served.

We here at Millie’s are definitely looking forward to seeing you all there again next year.

Married one year after their first date Bob, who is a deacon at First Baptist Church in Burbank, and Lorrie were given a coupon for the restaurant by Lorrie’s parents who oversaw their courtship.
